activities does Sunharbor Manor offer?
Our certified therapeutic recreation specialists provide a wide range
of leisure activities to meet the needs of our diverse population, including large and small group programs. The residents are strongly encouraged to participate in activities that interest them. Please click on our Facilities and Services tab below to see some of the programs that we offer.
Do Medicare and Medicaid cover
the costs at Sunharbor?
Medicare may pay for a limited period of time provided that
certain conditions have been met. The final determination of coverage is not
made until the person is admitted to the facility and assessed. (Please refer
to Medicare guidelines for coverage eligibility)
Medicaid will pay for nursing home care if the individual qualifies for
Medicaid according to income and resource standards.

Does Sunharbor Manor have Physicians/Nurses
available?
Yes, we have attending Physicians who facilitate continuity of care,
visiting often and are on call 24 hours daily. Our Registered Nurses and Licensed
Practical Nurses are on premises around the clock every day of the year.
What types of Rehabilitative
services do you offer?
Our six day per week therapy programs target the needs of high acuity
residents who require intensive and/or short-term rehabilitative programs. These
include:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy
- ADL Training
- Cognitive Rehabilitation
- Amputee Care
- Adaptive/Assistive Devices
Do you provide a variety of
diets?
Yes, we offer a large variety of diets. Residents are closely monitored
by our Dieticians and Nursing staff.
Will you assist with discharge
planning?
Yes, the planning is implemented upon admission and routinely reviewed.
Reassessment for return to the community enables us to secure necessary services
for continuance of physical, emotional, and social well being. In addition,
our social workers assist residents in their adjustment to daily life within
the facility, as well as providing support to families.
