Our colorful pinwheels displayed commemorate our essential workers and those lost during Covid-19! All proceeds of the pinwheel dedication will be going to the Alzheimer’s Association, our chosen fundraiser this year. We are looking forward to a brighter year ahead!!
Thank you to high school student Melody Hosseinipour for the St. Patrick’s Day letters and artwork for our residents! Melody created “Letter’s for Rose”, an outreach program where high school students have the opportunity to create artwork and writing letters for residents at local nursing homes.

Residents were treated to an early Valentine’s surprise from Balloons By Brittany! Brittany created an adopt-a-grandparent fundraiser where she raised enough to donate 250 Valentines Balloons to all our residents, along with an abundance of homemade Valentine’s Cards from local Girl Scout Troops! A big Thank You to Boy Scout James Bodendorf of Troop 123 in Merrick, NY for raising over $3,400 for his Eagle Scout Project “Cheer Me Up Care Packages” for the residents of Sunharbor Manor! James created 60 care packages for our residents! Thank you James and great work!!
